Our Majestic Princess itinerary has changed dramatically because of the huge weather system in the North Atlantic — and today we're talking about how passengers are reacting. We've lost our planned calls at Skjolden, Norway and Reykjavik, Iceland, and Majestic Princess headed south after leaving Haugesund. Princess has now given passengers $100 per person in onboard credit because of the itinerary changes. Is that enough? Allison shares what she's been hearing around the ship, including some passengers who are very unhappy with the changes and the compensation. Our view is a little different. Princess didn't cause the storm, and with extremely rough seas forecast along our original route, the captain and his team had to make the decision they believed would keep everyone safe. Sometimes cruising requires us to change our plans, look for the silver lining and make the very best of what we have. And we have a new adventure tomorrow! Majestic Princess is making an unexpected call in Belfast, where Gordon and Allison are planning to take the shuttle into the city and explore. We also have an update from Asia. Diamond Princess was delayed about seven hours during turnaround following the major typhoon that disrupted cruising throughout the region. Finally, Allison has an important tip about those cruise promotions advertising INCLUDED or FREE airfare. Included airfare doesn't necessarily mean you can simply choose any airline, schedule or flight you want at no additional cost. Allison explains what we've learned firsthand while arranging flights for an upcoming Viking cruise, and why you need to understand exactly what a cruise line's air promotion includes before you book. Are cruise-line air programs worth it for you, or would you rather book your own flights? Let us know what you think! God bless you! Allison & Gordon Let's Go!
