We're coming to you from Majestic Princess as we continue our transatlantic journey toward Halifax and New York! After spending nearly three weeks aboard Majestic Princess, Allison shares something that we've noticed — and that other passengers have been talking about as well. Does Majestic Princess have enough crew for the number of guests onboard? We've noticed it in the dining rooms, around the Piazza and especially with the cabin stewards, who seem to be working incredibly hard and very long hours. The crew continue to do an excellent job, but they certainly appear to have a lot on their shoulders. We also update you on our voyage after the major North Atlantic storm forced Princess to cancel two ports and completely reroute Majestic Princess. We had a wonderful unexpected day in Belfast, and we're very grateful our captain took us south rather than trying to sail directly into that storm. Then we've got some other cruise news! Holland America is adding a new beach area and food pavilion at Half Moon Cay, and we're excited to see the continued investment cruise lines are making in their private-island destinations. There's also another major name preparing to enter river cruising: Explora Journeys, the luxury brand from MSC, has signed a letter of intent for river ships. Allison talks about what increased competition could mean for river cruisers. Finally, if you're boarding one of five Carnival ships between September 26 and 28, be prepared for an old-fashioned IN-PERSON muster drill. Carnival Horizon, Panorama, Sunshine, Vista and Firenze are scheduled to conduct in-person musters. When was the last time YOU had to attend an in-person muster drill? And if you've sailed Majestic Princess recently, we'd especially like to know whether you've noticed the same thing we have regarding the guest-to-crew ratio. Thank you for coming along with us! God bless you! Allison & Gordon Let's Go!
