15 Days Across the Atlantic… and the Sea Days Were ROUGH | Brilliance of the Seas
Join Sean and Kat aboard Royal Caribbean’s Brilliance of the Seas for a 15-day transatlantic cruise from Southampton, England, visiting Scotland, Iceland, Greenland, and Nova Scotia, Canada. In this Season 3 episode of Royal Cruisers, our full-length Let’s Cruise show, we cross the North Atlantic for dramatic scenery, long-awaited destinations and a personal return to Peggy’s Cove. After sightseeing in London, we travel to Southampton to board the ship. Rough seas make themselves felt early, before our Scotland stop gives us time to explore Edinburgh’s Royal Mile. An overnight stay in Reykjavík allows two full excursion days in Iceland. Cold wind, volcanic landscapes and early starts make this a very different experience from our Caribbean sailings - including a nine-hour excursion on our second day. Greenland is somewhere we’ve wanted to visit for years. Our first stop brings a tender ride ashore, local food and beer tasting, and an iceberg-hunting excursion. Nuuk takes more improvising: both our original excursion and its replacement are canceled, so we explore independently when the rain eases. We find waterfront views and statues, although many places we encounter are closed. In Nova Scotia, we visit Sydney on Cape Breton Island before continuing to Halifax. That stop is especially meaningful: Halifax is where Kat is from, Peggy’s Cove is where we were married, and our visit falls on Sean’s birthday. Between ports, we settle into our familiar routine of coffee, food, and ocean views. We also dress up for Chef’s Table with two channel subscribers we meet onboard - a memorable evening during the crossing. Come along for our firsthand experience of this North Atlantic itinerary, from rough-water mornings and canceled plans to the places and people that make the journey worthwhile. ⚓ CRUISE DETAILS Ship: Brilliance of the Seas | Royal Caribbean Sailing: 15-day westbound transatlantic cruise Embarkation: Southampton, England Featured destinations: Edinburgh, Scotland • Reykjavík, Iceland • Greenland, including Nuuk • Sydney and Halifax, Nova Scotia Iceland stay: Overnight in Reykjavík, with two excursion days Greenland experiences: Local food and beer tasting, iceberg hunting and independent exploring in Nuuk Halifax excursion: Peggy’s Cove Traveling: Sean and Kat Show: Royal Cruisers | Season 3 — 2026 sailings This episode: Our full Brilliance of the Seas transatlantic Let’s Cruise adventure, filmed in 4K 📍 VIDEO CHAPTERS 00:00 London to Southampton & Brilliance of the Seas Embarkation 03:15 Rough Seas on Our First Full Day Onboard 05:51 Scotland Port Day & Exploring Edinburgh’s Royal Mile 11:19 Reykjavík Overnight: Our First Iceland Excursion 17:13 Iceland Scenery & Volcanic Landscapes 19:50 Our Second Iceland Excursion 24:45 Arriving in Greenland & Tendering Ashore 28:00 Greenland Local Food & Beer Tasting 30:27 Greenland Iceberg-Hunting Excursion 31:30 Brilliance of the Seas Sea Day & Chef’s Table with Subscribers 33:45 Nuuk Excursion Cancellations & Rainy Weather 35:02 Exploring Nuuk Independently 36:13 Sydney, Nova Scotia & Cape Breton Port Day 37:27 Traditional Wood-Fired Bread Tasting 39:49 Halifax & Sean’s Birthday 40:34 Returning to Peggy’s Cove, Where We Were Married 🛳️ EXPLORE MORE Watch more Royal Cruisers: Follow our Royal Caribbean adventures, with complete sailings organized by season and cruise year. https://www.youtube.com/show/VLPLGdHP0yyduEQlwvdidVu42zBE8GdHUTyN?sbp=QAE%253D Explore our Royal Caribbean ship tours: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLGdHP0yyduETKFGP5mM1yu7fF4vfb3qKi Which destination would make you book this crossing: Scotland, Iceland, Greenland or Nova Scotia?
