Navigator of the Seas: What It’s Really Like to Cruise the Mexican Riviera
Join Sean and Kat aboard Royal Caribbean’s Navigator of the Seas for a seven-night Mexican Riviera cruise from Los Angeles, visiting Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlán, and Puerto Vallarta. In this Season 3 episode of Royal Cruisers, our full-length Let’s Cruise show, we ride camels on the beach, try a resort day, and explore a different side of cruising along Mexico’s Pacific coast. We filmed this cruise in 2025, but it's appearing in Season 3 in 2026 because we lost the memory cards containing much of our footage. After recently recovering enough to bring the journey together, we decided to share it with encouragement from longtime subscribers. Some footage is still missing, and the experiences shown reflect our 2025 sailing. Our week begins in a balcony cabin on Navigator’s midship “bump,” with views along the ship - and a freshly varnished railing that Sean discovers the hard way. Between unpacking, champagne, and exploring the Royal Promenade, the unplanned moments start early. In Cabo San Lucas, we tender ashore for a sunset beach camel ride, followed by tequila and tacos. Mazatlán brings a VIP beach resort excursion, while Puerto Vallarta rounds out our three Mexican port stops before two sea days heading back to Los Angeles. Onboard, we go ice skating, try a manicure and pedicure together, attend a Caribbean drink tasting, and both get haircuts. Dining includes Hooked Seafood and Jamie’s Italian, with Kat trying Jamie’s for the first time. Our final-day Taste of Royal experience is memorable for the wrong reasons. Wine pairings arrive late or go missing, and Kat gets bread instead of her tuna tartare course. We enjoy much of the food, especially the steak, but the service leaves us disappointed. Join us for our recovered Navigator adventure, Mexican Riviera scenery, and our honest reactions to the ship, excursions, and dining along the way. ⚓ CRUISE DETAILS Ship: Navigator of the Seas | Royal Caribbean Sailing: Seven-night Mexican Riviera cruise Departure and return: Los Angeles, California Port stops: Cabo San Lucas • Mazatlán • Puerto Vallarta, Mexico Sea days: Days 2, 6 and 7 Cabin: Balcony stateroom on the ship’s outward-projecting midship section Traveling: Sean and Kat Filmed: 2025 Show: Royal Cruisers | Season 3 — released in 2026 after footage recovery This episode: Our recovered Navigator of the Seas Let’s Cruise adventure, filmed in 4K 📍 VIDEO CHAPTERS 00:00 Navigator of the Seas Mexican Riviera Cruise Itinerary 01:06 Los Angeles Embarkation & Midship Balcony Cabin 05:45 First Evening Onboard Navigator of the Seas 08:35 Sea Day, Ice Skating & Crown & Anchor Top-Tier Event 10:05 Cabo San Lucas Arrival & Tendering Ashore 12:11 Cabo Beach Camel Ride, Tequila & Tacos 15:59 Mazatlán VIP Beach Resort Excursion 23:46 Puerto Vallarta Port Day 25:41 Jamie’s Italian Dinner 26:39 Final Sea Day & Backstage Tour Plans 28:28 Our First Onboard Haircuts 29:40 Taste of Royal & Wine Pairing: Our Honest Review 🛳️ EXPLORE MORE Watch more Royal Cruisers: Follow our Royal Caribbean adventures, with complete sailings organized by season and cruise year. https://www.youtube.com/show/VLPLGdHP0yyduEQlwvdidVu42zBE8GdHUTyN?sbp=QAE%253D Explore our Royal Caribbean ship tours: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLGdHP0yyduETKFGP5mM1yu7fF4vfb3qKi Have you sailed the Mexican Riviera?
