Today we're sharing our excursion from Shimizu, Japan, one of the best cruise ports for visiting the famous Mount Fuji. Even though the weather didn't fully cooperate and the clouds hid much of the mountain, we still had a wonderful day exploring the Mount Fuji World Heritage Center, visiting a beautiful shrine, enjoying authentic Japanese food, and experiencing everyday life in Japan away from the tourist crowds. We'll show you what this excursion was really like, what to expect if you book it yourself, and whether we would choose it again. Spoiler alert: absolutely yes.
