We recently sailed on the Marella Discovery 2 cruise ship on the Jewels of the Mediterranean cruise, embarking in Palma de Mallorca, then heading to Olbia, La Spezia (where we took an excursion to Portofino), Villefranche, Toulin and Palamos and had the most amazing time. The Marella Discovery 2 is considered a medium sized ship, and holds just over 1800 passengers and around 770 crew members but despite that, it never felt over crowded.
