Trondheim Norway - Emergency Alert in the Rain! | Nidaros Cathedral | P&O Aurora Port 4
Trondheim, Norway - Port 4 on our P&O Aurora Norwegian Fjords cruise. It was raining when we walked into town - Mrs Campervandaze had her coat and overtrousers on, I had to stop in the rain to get my overtrousers on! We were heading to find Nidaros Cathedral. On the way we paused at the memorial for the young people killed at the Utøya summer camp in 2011 - a quiet, moving memorial on our walk to the cathedral. Then the Norwegian government started testing the emergency siren system - Nødvarsel. We weren't sure what it was at first, I managed to record it on my GoPro and got the alert on my phone. We found Nidaros Cathedral and went inside, then had a light lunch in the cathedral cafe before walking back to Aurora. Shopped in two charity shops on the way back - I bought a shirt and Mrs Campervandaze bought a scarf.
