Carnival Cruise Line: Choice C Is Carnival Destiny (2026)
Yesterday we thought Carnival would possibly be unveiling the Tropicale's first sailings, or maybe a walk back on their Rewards program. Instead, they threw us a curveball and gave us Choice C. Carnival just cut the first steel on the very first Ace-class mega-ship — and named it CARNIVAL DESTINY. Yes, THAT Destiny. The same name as the legendary 1996 ship that was the first ever to break 100,000 gross tons. Now she's back, twice the size: 230,000 gross tons, ~8,000 guests, debuting summer 2029. Christine Duffy calls it the most outward-facing ship in the fleet — "More Sea to See." A full-circle moment 30 years in the making. So if the next big announcement isn't Tropicale inaugural sailings... I'm officially out of guesses. More to come.
