Utopia of the Seas will sail from Port Canaveral starting in July 2024, but exclusively on short cruises of 3 or 4 nights duration. The cruises will include a stop at Perfect Day CocoCay, Royal Caribbean's private island. Port Miami was shutdown completely for half a day last Sunday, when two boats collided. The closure caused chaos for around 16,000 passengers! Carnival Australia is pushing pre-cruise purchases, and at the same time, Carnival Corporation now holds $7.2B USD in customer deposits, a large portion of which is made up of pre-cruise purchases - makes sense! Pacific Explorer has arrived in New Zealand and will sail the country's first cruise season since before the pandemic. The ship will sail to the South Pacific and other destinations between now and November this year.
