CRUISE NEWS! Cruise Travel Warning! Why You Need to Arrive EARLIER!
A major air traffic control disruption in the United Kingdom is a powerful reminder of something we talk about all the time: please give yourself extra time when flying to your cruise! Today Allison talks about the disruption affecting flights at airports across the UK and why unexpected problems like this can quickly derail carefully made cruise plans. For years, we have recommended arriving at least one day before embarkation whenever possible. But especially for an international cruise, Allison thinks two days or more can provide a very valuable cushion. And we've already seen why on this trip! Members of our own Let's Go! Family experienced cancelled and delayed flights on their way to our British Isles cruise. Thankfully, they had built enough extra time into their plans and were still able to join us. Allison also shares another important tip: if you're depending on a particular flight to get you to your cruise, look at the schedule and ask yourself, “If this flight doesn't go, is there another flight later that can still get me there in time?” Sometimes things happen that are completely beyond our control. We can't prevent every travel disruption, but we can give ourselves the best possible chance of making that ship! And at the end, a quick update from the beautiful Majestic Princess!
