Aruba Cruise Port to Eagle Beach for $5 | Easy DIY Public Bus Guide
Visiting Aruba on a cruise? We’ll show you how to get from the Aruba cruise port in Oranjestad to world-famous Eagle Beach on your own using the public Arubus — just $5 round trip with a Retour Card at current 2026 fares. Instead of paying for a cruise ship shore excursion or taxi, we walked from the cruise terminal to the main Oranjestad bus station and used Aruba public transportation to reach Eagle Beach. This video gives cruise passengers a step-by-step look at finding the bus terminal, riding Arubus, recognizing the beach stops, finding free shade, and getting back to the cruise port with confidence. Eagle Beach is one of Aruba’s signature beaches, known for powder-soft white sand, turquoise Caribbean water, a broad uncrowded shoreline, palapas and Aruba’s iconic fofoti trees. If you’re searching for the best Aruba beaches, things to do in Aruba from the cruise port, or an inexpensive DIY Aruba shore excursion, this is a simple beach day you can do independently. In this video: • How to find the Arubus station from the Aruba cruise port • How we rode the public bus to Eagle Beach • The $5 round-trip Retour Card option • Beach stops and what you’ll see along the route • Where we found free shade at Eagle Beach • Eagle Beach scenery, swimming and atmosphere • Pros and cons of choosing Eagle Beach • 3D Relive-style route maps to help you understand the trip • Our “Is It Worth It?” verdict PROS: exceptionally soft white sand, beautiful turquoise water, lots of open beach, a relaxed atmosphere, fewer vendors than busier resort areas, iconic Aruba scenery and inexpensive public-bus access. CONS: natural shade can be limited away from trees/palapas, there are fewer restaurants directly on the sand than at some resort beaches, and travelers looking for beach clubs or nightlife may prefer a busier area. We visited during our December 3, 2025 cruise stop and filmed the experience with the Insta360 X5. IMPORTANT: Bus fares and schedules can change. The $5 round-trip Retour Card is still listed by Arubus as of September 2026, but always verify current fares and schedules before your cruise. We were asked to pay in cash USD.
