Looking for an easy beach day from the Barbados cruise port? Join us as we visit beautiful Carlisle Bay in Bridgetown, Barbados, on our own using a shared taxi - no cruise-line excursion needed. During our November 23, 2025 cruise stop, we headed from the Bridgetown cruise port to Carlisle Bay and spent a relaxing day enjoying Brownes Beach and Pebbles Beach. We swam in the clear turquoise Caribbean water, relaxed on the soft sand, walked the shoreline, and experienced one of Barbados' best-known beach areas at our own pace. The bay is also famous for sea turtles and shipwreck snorkeling, while Pebbles Beach is known for the Barbados racehorses that are sometimes brought into the sea in the early morning. Our visit, however, was focused on relaxing, swimming and enjoying Brownes and Pebbles Beaches rather than a snorkeling tour.
