We're coming to you from Majestic Princess with some firsthand tips about this ship, an update on Royal Princess, earthquake activity in Iceland, and a medical evacuation from our ship today. First, we're getting ready to continue aboard Majestic Princess for our transatlantic voyage from Southampton to New York! An amazing 840 guests from this British Isles cruise are staying onboard for the crossing, and Princess has done a few special things for those continuing on. After spending nearly two weeks aboard Majestic Princess, Allison also shares some things you should know before you sail on her. Don't overlook the Hollywood Conservatory! It's a beautiful, complimentary space forward on Deck 17 with floor-to-ceiling windows, comfortable places to relax and a swimming pool. We also talk dining. We're hearing excellent reports about Crown Grill and The Catch by Rudi, while reports from Sabatini's have been more mixed. Gordon also tried Ocean Terrace sushi today and really enjoyed it — with no line on a sea day! And here's something gelato lovers should know: Majestic Princess does NOT have a Gelateria, and we weren't able to find gelato at Swirls either. We're also watching renewed earthquake activity in Iceland, where we'll be visiting during our upcoming transatlantic cruise. Finally, a passenger had to be medically evacuated by helicopter from Majestic Princess today. The captain specifically asked passengers not to photograph or video the evacuation, and we honored that request. Most importantly, the passenger was successfully transferred to the helicopter so they could receive the medical care they needed. We certainly hope they are doing well.
