9 Hours Searching at Sea on the Regal Princess: Our Unexpected Cruise Experience
Not every cruise day goes to plan - and this one took a deeply unexpected turn. At 5:45 AM, mid-sunscreen application for Jill's long-awaited cenote excursion, the captain's voice came over the PA with news that stopped the whole ship. A crew member may have gone overboard, and the Regal Princess turned around to begin a 9-hour search. Cozumel was cancelled, excursions were refunded, and the ship found itself in an unexpected sea day with the whole passenger list feeling the weight of what was happening. Jerry and Jill share how the day unfolded - from early morning pizza at Alfredo's to towel-hog frustrations in the adults-only area - while trying to be thoughtful about the atmosphere onboard.
