Royal Caribbean WOW Bands: Worth the Money? 5 Things to Know Before Buying
Are Royal Caribbean WOW Bands worth buying? Here are 5 things to know before spending $10 to $15 on this wearable technology for your next cruise. Royal Caribbean WOW Bands are water-resistant bracelets that connect to your SeaPass account. You can use them to unlock your stateroom door, order drinks, make onboard purchases, and check in for certain activities and shows. But there are a few things to consider before buying one: 1. WOW Bands are only available on select Royal Caribbean ships, including Icon, Utopia, Wonder, Oasis, Symphony, Harmony, Allure, and others. 2. Sometimes you can tap your wrist on a payment reader, while other times you’ll need to remove the band for a bartender or server to scan. 3. WOW Bands are reusable! We brought three from a previous cruise and had Guest Services reactivate them for free. 4. You’ll still need your physical SeaPass card to get on and off the ship at ports. 5. They’re an optional convenience, so consider how often you’ll use one before buying bands for everyone in your cabin. We purchased ours at Guest Services on embarkation day. On our last cruise, we paid $9.99 for one new WOW Band. Pricing varies by ship, with newer versions costing more. For our family, the convenience makes them worth buying, especially since we can use them on future Royal Caribbean cruises. Have you tried a WOW Band?
