Do you actually need bottled water on a Royal Caribbean cruise?
Do you actually need to buy or bring bottled water on a Royal Caribbean cruise? For most people, probably not. Royal Caribbean’s drinking water is either loaded onboard in port or made from seawater using desalination and reverse osmosis. Once treated, it becomes part of the ship’s potable-water system and is distributed to places like cabin sinks, kitchens, dining rooms, bars, beverage stations, and ice machines. Some dispensers or machines may have additional filtration, so the taste can vary, but the water from your cabin sink is still potable and safe to drink. If you prefer bottled water because it’s cold, portable, or you like the taste better, that’s different. But if you’re buying bottled water because you think you have to, you may be able to save the money and luggage space by bringing an empty reusable bottle instead. At drink stations, use one of the provided cups to transfer water into your bottle rather than placing your personal bottle directly against the dispenser. #RoyalCaribbean #CruiseTips #CruiseWater #CruisePacking #FirstTimeCruiser
