Why do so many cruisers think hair dryers are banned on Royal Caribbean? Part of the confusion comes from Royal Caribbean’s own wording. Their Guest Conduct Policy allows personal hair appliances, but the prohibited-items page says hair dryers may be prohibited depending on their specifications. That does not mean every personal hair dryer is banned. It means Royal leaves some discretion based on the individual appliance, and they do not publish a simple wattage cutoff or specification chart.
