Mediterranean Cruising Is NOTHING Like the Caribbean! Legend of the Seas Naples
Our first Mediterranean cruise port aboard the brand-new Legend of the Seas took us to Naples, Italy—and right away, we realized this was nothing like cruising in the Caribbean! We started the day taking in the incredible views of Naples from the ship before heading ashore to explore the city and hunt down some authentic Neapolitan pizza. Was it really the best pizza we’ve ever had? Honestly… it may have ruined American pizza for us forever. After a very hot afternoon in Naples, we headed back to Legend of the Seas to cool off and explore the pools, visit the 1400 Bar, and try dinner at Pier 7, one of the most underrated and affordable specialty dining options on the ship. We also scored front-row seats for an unbelievable ice-skating and drone show before finishing the night with drinks, dancing, and a little tropical jungle-night fun. Along the way, we share our honest first impressions of Mediterranean cruising, including how the crowds, nightlife, pools, casino, and overall atmosphere compare with a typical Caribbean sailing. Is Naples worth exploring during a Mediterranean cruise? Is half a day enough? And is cruising Europe really that different from the Caribbean? Come along with us for Day 2 aboard Royal Caribbean’s Legend of the Seas!
