We’re boarding the BRAND-NEW Royal Caribbean Legend of the Seas for our very first Mediterranean cruise — and this is only the SECOND sailing ever! 🇮🇹🚢 After spending a few incredible days exploring Rome, Jenn and I headed to Civitavecchia to begin our 7-night Mediterranean adventure aboard Royal Caribbean’s newest Icon Class ship. This also completes the trifecta for us — we’ve now sailed Icon of the Seas, Star of the Seas AND Legend of the Seas during their inaugural seasons! And boarding day definitely did not disappoint. We’re taking you along as we experience what it’s actually like boarding a Royal Caribbean cruise in Europe for the first time, step onto Legend of the Seas, explore the ship while it’s practically EMPTY and get our first look at some of the changes Royal Caribbean made from Icon and Star. We also check out our Infinity Balcony stateroom, the newly redesigned Pearl, Chill Island, Swim & Tonic, the Grove and Suite Neighborhood, the new waterslide colors, the English Pub, Schooner Bar, Giovanni’s, Sorrento’s, the new two-story casino and plenty more. But the biggest surprise happened almost immediately after boarding… The Hollywood Supper Club was originally $200 PER PERSON, which was enough for us to say, “Yeah…maybe not.” 😂 Then they offered it for $130 each…and eventually we scored BUY ONE, GET ONE FREE! So naturally…we dropped anchor. 😂 And honestly? We’re really glad we did. The Hollywood Supper Club turned into one of the highlights of the entire day with a seven-course dinner, cocktail pairings, Wagyu beef, black cod, incredible desserts and live music from the American Standard Quartet. We finish our first night aboard Legend with Dueling Pianos and the balloon drop, officially kicking off what should be one heck of a Mediterranean cruise!
