Serengeti Balloon Safari: African Safari Experience & Tanzania Wildlife Tour
We took a Serengeti Balloon Safari, and it was hands-down the highlight of our entire African Safari Experience. As part of our Tanzania Wildlife Tour, nothing else came close to the magic of lifting off above the Serengeti at dawn. We arrived at the launch site at 6 AM as ground crews — who had been there since 4:30 — carefully laid out the massive balloon envelope and ran technical inspections on the basket and burner assemblies. Meteorological conditions are checked thoroughly before every flight, making safety the top priority. As the balloon inflated and we lifted off at first light, the Serengeti stretched endlessly in every direction. It was utterly silent except for the occasional burst of the burner overhead. If you're planning a trip to Tanzania, do not skip this experience. We'll be sharing more from our safari journey, so make sure you subscribe so you don't miss a single adventure.
