Living on a Narrowboat – You Never Know What You'll Find! Ahoy, me hearties! 🏴☠️ Who says you have to be cruising to have an adventure? The Jolly Roger might not be clocking up many miles this week, but that doesn't mean we're sitting around doing nothing! We're still marooned on the beautiful Llangollen Canal, so I'm making the most of being here and heading off on a little shore leave! This week, we're exploring the historic Welsh town of Chirk, where beautiful old buildings hide some rather gruesome legends, including the mysterious story behind all those HANDS! ✋😳 Then it's off for a good old-fashioned British car boot sale with Gabby and our boating pals, Nicola and Andy. As a pirate, I do love a bit of treasure hunting… although whether we find treasure or just somebody else's unwanted tat remains to be seen! 🤣 First Mate Bonny has also acquired herself a new set of wheels, and we welcome some lovely friends aboard the Jolly Roger for a trip across the magnificent Pontcysyllte Aqueduct. It's another week of narrowboat life, full of laughs, local history, friendship and little adventures.
