I’m Adding a NEW ROOM to My Narrowboat!
This week I'm adding a NEW ROOM to my floating home... well, sort of! 😂🏴☠️ I've decided it's finally time to make better use of the semi-trad stern of the Jolly Roger, so I'm heading to All Seasons Boat Covers to start planning a brand-new canopy. I get a fascinating look behind the scenes at how boat canopies are made, choose the fabric for mine and discover that when it comes to narrowboats... no two rear ends are quite the same! 😂 Before all that though, I'm desperate to get the Jolly Roger washed and waxed, but the dusty towpath has other ideas. After getting covered in muck — and having a rather annoying encounter with a passing boat — I've had enough and it's time to move on in search of somewhere a little more peaceful. Somewhere along the way I also manage to turn a perfectly normal cruise into an unexpected race against two walkers... and despite having an engine, I'm not entirely sure I'm winning! 😂 Eventually it's off to All Seasons to talk colours, designs and measurements and find out exactly what's possible for my new covered space at the back of the boat.
