What can you actually see with one cruise day in Barbados? We left the Bridgetown cruise port to see how much of the island we could experience in one day. Our day starts with a guided island tour to St. John's Parish Church, the dramatic east coast at Bathsheba, Cherry Tree Hill, and Rihanna's childhood neighborhood. From there, we continued on our own to the Mount Gay Visitor Centre to learn about the history of Barbados rum and take part in a guided tasting. We finished the day with some local Barbadian food before making our way back to the Port of Bridgetown. If you're visiting Barbados on a cruise, this is a look at what you can realistically fit into one port day—and why it's worth getting beyond the cruise port and seeing more of the island for yourself.
