Grinchmas Cruise Day 2: Seuss-a-Palooza Fun, Long Lunch, Feast Night & Outdoor Movie Under the Stars
Welcome to Day 2 of our Grinchmas in July cruise onboard Carnival Encounter out of Brisbane! Today was a full sea day packed with festive fun, great food, and plenty of entertainment around the ship. We started the morning in Black Circus with a quick look at the Grinchmas Games, before joining the colourful Seuss‑a‑Palooza Parade all the way to the Marquee Theatre. There, the Cruise Director and entertainment team brought one of Dr Seuss’s famous stories to life… but which one? You’ll have to watch to find out. Next up was the Grinchmas Long Lunch in Angelo’s with our friends Deb and Matt. This special event is an additional‑cost dining experience at $45 per person for three courses. The first two courses really impressed us, and the rest… well, we’ll let you see for yourself. We also managed to grab a quick photo with The Grinch himself. The afternoon was all about unwinding in the Thermal Suite, which we’ve really come to enjoy—especially with the added Byron Beach Club facilities. After a relaxing break, we headed to Dragon Lady for Feast Night, where the same menu is served across all included dining rooms. The evening entertainment didn’t disappoint: dancing in the Encounter Hotel with ABBA Tribute and Boogie Nights, a stop in the Piano Bar for some Irish Sea Shanties, and finally a late‑night movie under the stars on Deck 14. Of course, we couldn’t resist grabbing some hot treats from Topside Grill to finish off the night. A fantastic sea day from start to finish, filled with festive moments, great company, and plenty of Carnival fun.
