Carnival Splendor Weekend Getaway Cruise Boarding Day - Sydney Sailaway, Fahrenheit 555, Music & Fun
Join us for Embarkation on Boarding Day of our Carnival Weekend Getaway Cruise on Carnival Splendor. We've sailed on this ship before, but it’s been a little while, so we were excited to get back onboard. After arriving at the Sydney Overseas Passenger Terminal, we joined the steady stream of excited passengers making their way inside. Check‑in was a breeze, and although it took a little while to work through the busy security process, once we stepped onboard that familiar feeling of “we’re on a cruise again” kicked in straight away. In this video we share our first impressions of the ship and our cabin as we set about re‑acquainting ourselves with Splendor. After the formalities, we headed up to the Lido Marketplace to check out the lunch options and soak in the atmosphere around the ship. Before long it was time for Sailaway, and Carnival brought the fun with Cat in the Hat, Thing 1 and Thing 2 joining the party as Splendor eased away from the port. Sailing out of Sydney never gets old — the Harbour Bridge and Opera House looked incredible in the afternoon sun, and the crisp winter weather made the whole moment feel extra special. As evening rolled in, we headed to Fahrenheit 555 for our specialty dining experience. We take you through the meal and share our thoughts before exploring what else the ship had to offer for evening entertainment. There was plenty happening around the ship, including comedy, the 80s Rock ’n’ Glow party, karaoke, and live music throughout the bars. We wrapped up our night in the Piano Bar with a fantastic sing‑along led by Angelo. It was the perfect first day on this short but memorable Weekend Getaway Cruise.
