Fogust in Ucluelet 4K [MV Escapade]

Our journey along Vancouver Island's rugged west coast continues as we leave Tofino behind and make our way south to the charming coastal community of Ucluelet, British Columbia. While Tofino is known for its bustling tourist atmosphere, Ucluelet offers a quieter, more laid-back experience with plenty of West Coast charm. After settling Escapade at anchor, we headed ashore by dinghy to explore the town with the dogs, wander through the local shops, and discover a little of the area's history. We also visited the Ucluelet Aquarium, where we learned about the incredible marine life found in the surrounding waters. And, of course, no West Coast adventure would be complete without a few wildlife encounters! From bald eagles soaring overhead to playful sea lions leaping out of the water near a fishing boat, there was no shortage of memorable moments. Ucluelet turned out to be another wonderful stop on our cruising adventure, reminding us that sometimes the quieter destinations have just as much to offer.
