We Returned to Pruth Bay and Finally Explored Beyond West Beach! [MV Escapade] 4K
Aboard our 47-foot Nordhavn Escapade, we cruise 139 nautical miles from McMicking Inlet to Pruth Bay, continuing our liveaboard adventure along British Columbia's spectacular Central Coast. This passage brings us to one of our favorite anchorages, where we discover there's far more to explore than we ever imagined. Although we've visited Pruth Bay before, we'd only ever explored West Beach. This time, we return with a new goal—to venture farther and discover more of the seven named beaches that make this incredible corner of British Columbia so special. Starting from the Hakai Institute, we hike through lush coastal forest, climb to a spectacular lookout with breathtaking panoramic views, and explore Second Beach, Third Beach, and North Beach for the very first time. Along the way, we're reminded that some of the best adventures happen when you return to a place you thought you already knew. Of course, life aboard a Nordhavn isn't always about epic destinations. Most days are filled with the simple rhythm of liveaboard cruising—planning passages, caring for the boat, looking after our pups, and enjoying the journey one nautical mile at a time. But every now and then, the coast has a way of surprising us and reminds us exactly why we love this lifestyle. 🚤 About Our Journey: If you love cruising life, trawlers, coastal exploration, slow travel, and authentic boating adventures, you’re in the right place. Join us as we explore the wild beauty of the Pacific Northwest and beyond — one nautical mile at a time.
