Returning to Tofino After 50 Years | Cruising Vancouver Island by Nordhavn 4K [MV Escapade]
Our Nordhavn 47 cruising adventure down the west coast of Vancouver Island continues as we leave Matilda Inlet and Ahousaht behind and cruise through beautiful Clayoquot Sound to Tofino. It's my first visit to Tofino since I was barely a teenager, and it has certainly changed! We explore by e-bike, visit the beaches stop at the original Tacofino food truck, and enjoy the busy Tofino waterfront from our slip aboard Escapade. From a sailboat running aground near the fuel dock to a sea lion fishing beside the boat and floatplanes coming and going, Tofino gives us plenty to watch. After a wonderful stay, we continue our journey south along the wild west coast of Vancouver Island. Next stop... Ucluelet.
