We Tried a Haven Caravan Holiday... Would We Do It Again?
We swapped our usual cruise holiday for something completely different — a three-night Haven caravan holiday in Cleethorpes with our two dogs. We booked a Silver caravan for three nights in September and, having had both good and bad experiences with caravan holidays in the past, we weren't quite sure what we'd find when we opened the door. Is Haven actually worth the money? How clean would the caravan be? And is Haven Cleethorpes really as dog-friendly as we'd heard? Over the course of our stay, we explore the massive Haven holiday park, check out the facilities, walk along the beach, discover Cleethorpes, visit the famous smallest pub, take the dogs on the little train and see what there is to do both on and around the site. We also look at the cost of the holiday and compare it with the price we've paid for cruising — because we're used to getting our accommodation, food and entertainment included on a cruise, so how does a caravan holiday stack up? And perhaps most surprisingly, Cleethorpes itself turns out to be very different from what we expected. This isn't a polished holiday park review. It's simply our honest experience of trying something outside our usual cruise holidays, including the things we liked, the things that surprised us and the things that didn't quite work for us. Would we come back to Haven? Would we choose a caravan holiday over a cruise? And was it good value for three nights? You'll have to watch to find out.
