We Finally Made It to Santorini... | Enchanted Princess Cruise Part 2
We finally made it to Santorini! After the unexpected leak aboard Enchanted Princess at the end of Part 1, our Mediterranean cruise continues with a DIY visit to Santorini, an incredible day in Kusadasi and Ephesus, a surprisingly impressive visit to Olympia from Katakolon, our final sea day, and finally our complete AHOY rating of Enchanted Princess. This is Part 2 of our 7-night Mediterranean cruise aboard Princess Cruises' Enchanted Princess, sailing round trip from Civitavecchia (Rome) from May 12–19, 2026. In Santorini, we set out to see just how easy—and affordable—it would be to explore the island on our own rather than booking a cruise excursion. We took the tender, gondola, bus to Oia, explored the town, enjoyed lunch with an incredible view, and returned to Fira before heading back to the ship. From there, we traveled to Kusadasi, Turkey, where we visited the ancient city of Ephesus, the Library of Celsus, the reported last home of the Virgin Mary, and enjoyed Turkish coffee and a family-style lunch. This was also a particularly meaningful day for us because Turkey was a country we had never visited before—and it ended up changing some of our expectations. Our next stop was Katakolon, Greece, where we once again went completely on our own. We took the local bus to Olympia and discovered that the ancient site was so much more impressive than we had expected. The ancient temples, training facilities, history, museum, and surprisingly excellent audio guide made this one of the biggest surprises of our cruise. After one final relaxing sea day aboard Enchanted Princess, it's time to put everything together with our AHOY cruise rating: A — Accommodation H — Hospitality O — Onboard Experience, including Food Y — Yield / Value So after seven nights, multiple ports, specialty dining, a thermal spa experience, unexpected challenges, and plenty of great memories... how did Enchanted Princess really do? Watch until the end to find out our final AHOY score and whether we would sail Enchanted Princess again. 🚢 Enchanted Princess Mediterranean Cruise | Part 2 📍 Civitavecchia (Rome) → Santorini → Kusadasi → Katakolon → Civitavecchia 📅 May 12–19, 2026 🚢 Princess Cruises — Enchanted Princess ⏱️ Chapters 00:00 Intro & What Happened With the Leak? 03:24 Santorini — Our DIY Adventure 06:48 Kusadasi, Turkey — Ephesus & More 12:06 Katakolon — Exploring Olympia on Our Own 18:00 Final Sea Day — Relaxing Aboard Enchanted Princess 20:00 Our AHOY Rating — How Did Enchanted Princess Score?
