Koblenz is located at the confluence of the Rhine and Moselle rivers. The Deutsches Eck (German Corner) is a symbol of German unity, featuring a statue of Wilhelm I, the first Emperor of the German Empire. Ehrenbreitstein Fortress is the second largest castle in Europe. The Ludwig Museum houses a collection of 20th and 21st-century contemporary art. The ancient St. Castor Cathedral has witnessed many important historical events in Europe.
