Carnival muster drill update: six Carnival sailings departing October 8–12, 2026 will hold a full, in-person safety drill instead of the usual e-muster. The ships: Carnival Spirit (Oct 8), Carnival Luminosa (Oct 9), Carnival Legend (Oct 11), Carnival Radiance (Oct 11), Carnival Firenze (Oct 12) and Carnival Miracle (Oct 12). What happens: you report to your assigned muster station, crew check your Sail & Sign card, life jackets are demonstrated, and you'll hear the emergency signal: seven short blasts followed by one long blast. Food and drink service pauses during the drill. E-muster stays the standard on every other Carnival sailing. Why: every ship has to hold a full drill twice a year under US Coast Guard and SOLAS (Safety of Life at Sea) rules, according to Carnival brand ambassador John Heald. Carnival is emailing guests on these sailings before embarkation. Sailing one of these? Tell me which ship in the comments.
