This was our first time bringing our own boat to Alaska—and on our way to Haines, we experienced something we’ve never seen before. We begin this leg of the journey departing Juneau and heading north through Southeast Alaska, surrounded by snowcapped mountains and calm waters. By the end of the day, we drop anchor in William Henry Bay. The next morning, we get back underway toward Haines, and that’s when things really start to happen. First, a pod of dolphins appears off our bow, riding the waves and putting on an unforgettable show. Not long after, we find ourselves in the middle of a massive feeding frenzy, with birds diving and circling all around us in one of the most incredible wildlife encounters we’ve ever experienced. Moments like this are why we came to Alaska—not just for the scenery, but for the unpredictable, wild experiences you simply can’t plan. This trip marks a huge milestone for us—bringing our own boat to Alaska for the very first time—and it’s already proving to be more than we ever imagined. 🎵 Music All music in this video is licensed by Epidemic Sound 🚤 About Our Journey: Our channel follows our bucket-list journey cruising the Inside Passage to Alaska — sharing anchorages, wildlife encounters, challenges at sea, small harbor towns, and life aboard along the way.
