On the final port of call of my Cunard Queen Victoria Mediterranean cruise, we arrive in Valencia for what should be a sunny day exploring the city. But as we approach the port, something is very different. A wildfire in the surrounding area has sent smoke across the region, It's certainly not the Valencia I was expecting! But I'm not going to let the unusual conditions stop me exploring. I head off Queen Victoria and make my way into the city to visit the spectacular Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències (City of Arts and Sciences) and, most importantly, the incredible Oceanogràfic aquarium. Oceanogràfic is the largest aquarium in Europe and is absolutely enormous, with an incredible variety of marine life. But one part of the visit completely blows me away the dolphin presentation. It turns out to be one of the most incredible things I've ever seen! 🐬 After exploring Oceanogràfic, I head back to Queen Victoria for the final evening of the cruise. There's still packing to do, but I also have time for one last night of entertainment and dinner on board before this Mediterranean adventure begins to draw to a close.
