People Said DON'T Go Here.… Then I Found THIS! | La Seyne-sur-Mer Cruise Port | Queen Victoria
My next port of call aboard Cunard's Queen Victoria is La Seyne-sur-Mer in the south of France. And I've heard the same advice from almost everyone: don't stay here go to Toulon instead! Apparently there's very little to see in La Seyne-sur-Mer, and some people had warned me that it wasn't a particularly nice port to explore. But rather than following the crowd, I decided to stay right where Queen Victoria was docked and investigate for myself. Instead of taking the obvious route into town, I head off in a different direction and that's when I discover something I really wasn't expecting... It turns out there is a surprisingly beautiful side to La Seyne-sur-Mer that I certainly wasn't expecting to find! I then continue into the town itself and, well... perhaps the warnings weren't completely wrong! There isn't a huge amount to see in the town centre, but after discovering the gardens and fort, I'm very glad I decided to ignore the advice and stay in La Seyne-sur-Mer rather than automatically heading to Toulon. So, should you stay in La Seyne-sur-Mer when your cruise ship docks here, or should you head to Toulon? Come along and see what I found!
