After my previous NCL cruise didn't quite go to plan, I've booked an 11-night cruise aboard Norwegian Sky and this time, the itinerary was simply too good to resist. But will NCL be able to change my mind? Join me as I embark Norwegian Sky in Southampton for what is a particularly interesting sailing: this is the penultimate cruise before Norwegian Sky leaves Norwegian Cruise Line and transfers to a new cruise line. In this first video, I explore the ship, settle in for the start of our 11-night adventure. Our first port of call is IJmuiden in the Netherlands, the gateway to Amsterdam. But rather than heading into Amsterdam, I decide to explore nearby Haarlem instead. Despite the wet weather, it's a lovely day discovering beautiful Dutch architecture, historic streets and traditional windmills.
