Sapa Day 2 - We Reached the Top of Vietnam! 🇻🇳 | Fansipan Summit, Moana Cafe & Sapa Square
🇻🇳 WANDERFREE VIETNAM | SAPA DAY 2 🇻🇳 Today was one of the most anticipated days of our Vietnam adventure—we were headed to the top of Fansipan, the highest mountain in Vietnam! Known as the "Roof of Indochina," Fansipan rises over 3,100 meters (10,300+ feet) above sea level and offers some of the most spectacular views in Vietnam... at least when the weather cooperates! We took the famous Fansipan cable car high into the mountains before making the final climb to the summit ourselves rather than taking the mountain train. While the weather in Sapa was beautiful when we started, conditions at the summit were a completely different story. Fog, clouds, wind, mist, and rain greeted us at the top, making the views nearly impossible to see. But despite the weather, we made it to the summit! We also explored the temples, statues, gardens, and other beautiful areas around Fansipan before stopping for lunch on the mountain. Later in the day, we visited the stunning Moana Cafe, one of Sapa's most photographed locations, with incredible mountain scenery and countless photo opportunities. To finish the day, we headed into Sapa Square to explore the town center and experience a little more of local life in Sapa.
