First Time in San Diego on Virgin Voyages! (Balboa Park Blew Us Away + Scarlet Night Was TOO Much 😂)
Join us as we explore San Diego for the first time on our Virgin Voyages cruise! From ship life to wandering the city with zero plan, this day was full of surprises, stunning sights, and relaxing vibes. We start the morning with breakfast at the Galley, then head straight off the gangway. The USS Midway Museum is literally right there — such an incredible welcome to the city! We check out the famous Unconditional Surrender (Kissing Sailor) statue, enjoy the peaceful National Salute to Bob Hope, and then let our feet guide us through San Diego. Coffee stop at Bird Rock Roasters (worth the wait!), a quick spin through Little Italy (smaller than expected!), and then the absolute highlight — Balboa Park. The desert garden and rose garden were stunning, and the park is MASSIVE. You could easily spend a whole day there! Back on the ship for lunch at the Galley, pool time with cold beers, and watching the Disney Wonder sail away. In the evening we get ready for Scarlet Night, enjoy dinner at The Wake, hit the casino… and quickly realise Scarlet Night is just a bit too loud and OTT for us 😂 If you’re cruising with Virgin Voyages or planning a San Diego visit, this vlog is packed with real first-timer vibes!
