🤒 Stephen Missed an Entire Port Day! | Haugesund & Our Honest Cruise Review
🤒 Stephen Was Too Ill to Leave the Ship! | Haugesund, Norway Today doesn't quite go to plan as we arrive in Haugesund, Norway, one of the final ports on our Norwegian Fjords cruise aboard P&O Iona. Unfortunately, Stephen wakes up feeling unwell and spends most of the morning in bed, turning this port day into an unexpected solo adventure for JLG The day starts with breakfast at The Keel & Cow, where Jamie tries the £3.50 upcharge Full English Breakfast and discovers it might just be one of the best breakfasts onboard Iona. With Stephen resting, Jamie heads ashore with Janet and Jeff to explore Haugesund. Sadly, this port doesn't quite live up to expectations. After a wander around town, we struggle to find much to see or do and end up heading back to the ship after just a short visit. Back onboard, it's time to visit The Quays and try the fish & chips from Hook, Line & Vinegar. Was it worth it? We'll share our honest thoughts! Thankfully, Stephen starts feeling a little better later in the day and manages to join us for a few drinks in the Emerald Bar... although finding a quiet seat proves more challenging than expected as we end up moving several times throughout the afternoon! 😂 In the evening, we enjoy a lovely three-course meal at The Keel & Cow with Janet and Jeff before ending the night in The Clubhouse, enjoying an evening of swing classics from Nick James. Unfortunately, we also have some bad news. The footage from our final sea day was lost, so instead we sit down at home after the cruise to talk through what happened, share our thoughts on the trip, discuss our favourite moments, and give our overall review of this incredible Norwegian Fjords adventure aboard P&O Iona.
