BOUGHT A FAKE EXCURSION! 😡 Viator Sold Us a Tour That DIDN'T EXIST! Our final port of call aboard the **Majestic Princess** was supposed to be one of the most exciting days of our entire cruise. Instead, it turned into one of the most frustrating travel experiences we've ever had. We finally made it to **Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands**, and after searching for excursions the night before, we found what sounded like the PERFECT experience for our family through **Viator**. We booked a guided **Coral World Ocean Park** experience that advertised a special happy hour component. The idea sounded perfect for us. The kids could learn about marine life and see incredible animals while Mom and Dad could enjoy a few drinks and relax while keeping up with the family. It sounded like the perfect family cruise excursion. Until we arrived. We showed up at Coral World, had our tickets scanned, and were admitted into the park. But when we asked about the happy hour portion of the experience, the staff had absolutely NO IDEA what we were talking about. They told us they had never heard of a "happy hour guided tour" like the one described in the excursion we purchased. We showed them the information we had purchased, and the staff began making phone calls to supervisors and higher-ups to try to figure out what was going on. But no matter who they contacted, they couldn't accommodate the experience we had paid for. At that point, we were **UPSET, FRUSTRATED, CONFUSED, AND FLABBERGASTED.** We had planned our entire morning around this excursion and were expecting to have a completely different experience. Instead, we were standing at the attraction being told that the experience we purchased wasn't something they were offering that day. The staff at Coral World ultimately directed us to contact Viator and request a refund—which is exactly what we did. But because we had PJ and Laiah with us, we made the decision not to let our disappointment ruin their day. So we did what we always try to do on vacation... **We made the best of it.** Despite everything that happened, the kids still got to experience some really cool marine life and see some incredible animals. The bird aviary was especially fun for the kids, and seeing their excitement helped us put our frustrations aside and enjoy the day with them. Unfortunately, things didn't get much better. One of Coral World's attractions—the **Turtle Observatory**—was under construction during our visit, meaning we couldn't experience that part of the park. And then, because apparently this day wasn't challenging enough... 🌧️ **IT STARTED POURING RAIN!** So between the missing happy hour experience, the unavailable turtle attraction, the rain, and the disappointment of not receiving the experience we thought we purchased, this ended up being a pretty underwhelming excursion for Mom and Dad. After spending a couple of hours at Coral World, we headed back toward the entrance to catch a taxi into town. And then we encountered ANOTHER problem. The taxi driver who took us to Coral World had told us the kids were free. But the driver taking us back into town tried to charge us for the kids. At this point, Phil was READY TO GO HOME! 😂 It seemed like one thing after another kept happening. But before we could head back to the Majestic Princess, we had one final mission... 🎄 **FIND DEE A CHRISTMAS ORNAMENT!** If you've been following our Princess Cruises series, you know how important it was for us to find Dee a Christmas ornament for her travel Christmas tree. So even after everything that happened, we weren't leaving St. Thomas without finding one! Thankfully, we found a beautiful ornament, took some pictures around the Christmas decorations in port, did a little shopping, and finally made our way back to the ship. What a DAY!
