After storms, delays and another unexpected extra sea day, the 'Banana Cruise' finally delivers a highlight in a trip to Seville, Spain 🇪🇸 Arriving into Cadiz with half a day extra in port, I decide to take the opportunity to travel inland to Seville, determined to finally experience something after so many disrupted days. After a long coach journey, I arrive and am immediately blown away by the city’s incredible architecture, grand spaces and relaxed atmosphere. My visit begins at the spectacular Plaza de España, one of the most beautiful landmarks in Spain, where I explore the plaza and its surrounding gardens. From there, I head into the historic centre, wandering through the charming streets of Santa Cruz and visiting the area around Seville Cathedral, soaking in the history and atmosphere of this stunning city. Later, I explore Seville’s lively shopping district before taking a peaceful walk along the river back to the coach. Seville truly exceeded expectations and felt especially magical on a calm winter afternoon. Back in Cadiz, the evening continues with a walk through the city’s spectacular Christmas lights display, including an awe-inspiring light and music show. The perfect festive ending to a memorable day. I have another day in Cadiz tomorrow… and hope the cruise is finally getting back on track!
