Novotel Southampton Room Tour & HONEST Review | Worth £179?

Is the Novotel Southampton a good place to stay before a cruise — and was our room really worth £179.20? 🚢 Before boarding the Disney Dream in Southampton, we're staying overnight at the Novotel Southampton, just a short distance from the cruise terminals. We're in Room 116, and in this full room tour we'll show you exactly what we received — because our first impression was that it looked rather different from the rooms we'd seen advertised online. We take you around the room, including the storage, separate toilet and bathroom, bed, sofa bed, desk area and facilities, before coming back the following morning to tell you how we actually slept and what the shower was like. There are definitely some positives. The bed was comfortable, the room was remarkably quiet despite being close to a main road and police station, and the location is extremely convenient for Southampton cruise passengers. But the room itself felt dated to us, there's inexplicably no plug socket on one side of the bed, and we didn't feel it matched the newer-looking rooms we'd seen in the hotel's online photographs. We paid £179.20 for one night over a Bank Holiday weekend, while our friends paid nearly £200 for a room accommodating two adults and a child. So would we stay at the Novotel Southampton again?
