There’s so much I love about Jerash. Behind me is the North Gate and just beside that is the North Amphitheater. The North Tetrapylon is also close by. But this—this area—is a part of Jerash I’ve never explored before. I’ve been to Jerash many times. I think this is my fifth visit, and somehow, it’s the first time I’ve come across this church. It’s tucked a little further north of the Temple of Artemis, and it feels like a quiet, almost forgotten corner of the site. There’s no sign or plaque to indicate what church this is, which makes it feel even more like a hidden discovery. So I’ll take a bit of time to film it and soak in the atmosphere. Even after multiple visits, Jerash still finds a way to surprise me.
