Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada – First Port of Our Transatlantic Cruise
It is our first visit to Halifax. Since it is mid April the weather was still quite cold (specially for us) but we got to enjoy a lovely day. On board I realized one of my AirPods was missing. We were happy to find there was an Apple Store at the Halifax Shopping Centre and headed there on a public bus. We love that Google Maps is great about telling us how to use public transportation worldwide. After shopping, we took the bus again and visited the Public Garden, which is beautiful and had some blooming flowers already. The current layout is from 1875 and they even have some historic photograph displays throughout the garden. We then, walked around town for a bit before heading to the waterfront and ending our visit at the Maritime Museum. It has many models of older ships and a section about the 1917 explosion caused by the collision of two ships in the harbor. They also have some items found at sea after the sinking of the Titanic. We were thankful for an easy day before we spend four days at sea crossing the Atlantic. And got super lucky to get calm seas and no issues at all in our crossing. :D Next, we will share with you our visit to Ponta Delgada in Sao Miguel island which is the capital of the Azores, Portugal. Thank you for watching. We hope you continue to join us as we travel around the world! #timetolinger, #slowtravel, #TatandSteve, #Halifax, #Cruising, #MSCMeraviglia
