F Zionist, It has been 76+ years, I'm over genocide, I can't hold my tongue.@julescruisecompanion
As I sit here overlooking the Golan Heights and across to what is now occupied Palestine, I can see Lake Tiberias—also known as the Sea of Galilee. The view is stunning, but it comes with a heavy weight. I'm reminded of the many messages I get online, especially from Zionist trolls on Facebook, who throw lines like, “Have you ever been to Israel?” As if walking on land legitimizes occupation. As if setting foot in a place suddenly makes injustice disappear. But here’s the truth: you don’t need to stand on stolen land to know when something is deeply, morally wrong. Before I ever visited the grounds of Dachau or Auschwitz, I knew what the Nazis did was horrific. I didn’t need to see the barracks or the gas chambers to understand that what happened to Jews, Roma, disabled people, LGBTQ+ people, and dissidents was evil. The horror speaks for itself. History teaches us, and empathy teaches us more. And the same goes for Gaza, the West Bank, and East Jerusalem. I don't have to walk those streets to know that the killing of civilians, the bombing of hospitals, the destruction of homes, and the deliberate targeting of families is wrong. Genocide is wrong. Always. Everywhere. No justification, no flag, no history lesson can change that. The murder of children, the rape of women and men, the obliteration of entire communities—these are crimes against humanity. So, to those who think standing on a piece of land gives them moral clarity—know this: I don’t need to cross a border to know which side of humanity I stand on. And I won't be lectured by those who excuse injustice just because it serves their narrative.
